Is the Gala here yet?

Finally, it's the school Gala day! It is the 8th of November. Well, most of you would ask what is the Gala.  Gala is carnival where you can buy sweets, hot food, second hand books, DVDs, and toys. there will also be touch rugby to watch. And more and more.

my family, Amy and I went to the Gala. At first, I walk around with Amy and told her things about CSNS, because she doesn't go to CSNS. Because I am a Young Leader so I have to help with the stores. I was helping the candy floss store and I was helping it for one hour. I brought one candy floss and one hot chips.

The Gala day was so fun! After the Gala day I went to badminton!

YAY!

YAY! I am so so so happy that I got in the year 6 girls Tui relay team, I was just in. Yesterday(27/10/15), we had a sprint race in your own houses. There is Tui(yellow), Takahe(Blue), Weka(Red), Kea(Green) and I am in Tui! I can't actually believe that I'm in the relay team, that is the first time I'm in the relay team. I came 6th, so that is why I just got in. They are having the top 6 from the race. I think I am a reserve, because I'm 6th so that is why I think I'm reserve. But still, I got in. That is very good. That is the best year ever!

My Holidays

In the holidays, I pretty much just stayed at home and did some homework from my mum and reading follow up from my reading group. 

I went to my friend Amy's house with my brother Kevin and it was only for 10 or 20 minutes, but we still had fun. We were playing Mario Kart on Amy's Wii. I was pretty bad at Mario Kart and I always came last. But once, I came 5th. In one of the game, I was first but then I died, and I went to last again. Also the reason that I'm only went there for 10 or 20 minutes, is because we were coming back from badminton and I asked my mum if I can go to Amy's house and she said yes and she will pick me up after she came back from shopping.

I also went to the holiday badminton programme in the second week of the holidays. It's over the PINIS gym and it's only for three days. I learnt a lot from that.

That is what I did in the holidays.

It's called 'The Dream'

It's about a girl had a very weird dream. In the girl's dream, she is watching the TV and suddenly, everything disappeared. A guy came and a hammer smash him and he died. Then, a shark came to a green slime. Then a elephant playing a rock guitar came and the guy be came alive again. Things disappeared again. And the Everything happens, is all a dream. The girl's mum came into her room and she saw her daughter fly up and died. Again, everything disappeared. The End! I hope you like the animation that Emma, Jaweria and I made!

Me: You can do stop motion animation!

Someone: What is a stop motion animation?

Me: Stop motion animation is a animation that you take ton of photos and put them together to make a movie.

Someone: Oh! What else are there?

Me: There is also MaKey MaKey!

Someone: I know nothing about MaKey MaKey, can you tell me things about MaKey MaKey?

Me: MaKey MaKey is something that you plug a circuits in the computer and you plug the other side of the circuits in the MaKey MaKey. And you can make anything you want just by plugging the circuits in the MaKey MaKey and plug the other side of circuits on the objects.
Someone: Cool! What else?
Me: 3D Printer! It was very cool!
Someone:Ooh, I know what a 3D printing is! You get 3D printing from a 3D printer. 3D printer is a printer that is same as a normal printer. But 3D printer print 3D thinsg out, not 2D things. And it takes a long time to print a design out.
Me: Yes! You are right. 3D printing is from a 3D printer.

Mind Lab

I can't wait until tomorrow(22/9/15)! Do you know why? Because my class and I are going trip to Mind Lab in Wellington tomorrow! I am so exciting about the Mind Lab trip! We are going to learn and try;  3D printing, animation, coding and robotics. Here is a link to Mind Lab's website.

Information Report about Earth

Earth

The Earth is a planet in the Solar System. There are seven planets in the Solar System. There are a lot of people that live on Earth.

The colour of  the planet Earth is green for the grass,brown for  the sand and the white for the clown. And the main colour of the planet Earth is blue,because in Earth there is a lot of ocean. The planet Earth have been 4,600 million years,I know right,it's pretty big. Earth is 149,600,000 Km away from the Sun. Some people thought that Earth is the biggest, but is not the biggest. Jupiter is the biggest planet in the Solar System. You know what,it take Earth 365.25 days to circle the Sun. The Earth is the third planet from the Sun and it's between the planet Venus and Mars. You know that Earth is 5.972E24Kg, that is big. There is also a lot of different cool creatures in Earth.

I really like Earth because the colour of the Earth is really cool. I also like Earth because Earth is livable and there’s a lot of cool creatures. I know that because I LIVE AT EARTH!!!!!! I just really Earth and I will always remember there’s a planet from the Solar System called Earth.

My highlight of term 2 probably was the GRi11 fun day because I had lots of fun on that day. We played games with our friend most of the day. At afternoon we watch a movie called Space Jam(it’s about basketball). ^__^

Why we should keep GRi11 just like now?

Dear Mr Kennedy and Miss Holder

GRi11 are angry about that some people said that GRi11 will need to change their learning style. And they said we are too young to be managing our own learning. But we are not! It doesn't matter if you are young or not,all the GRi11 members can all manage their own learning.

The first day of year 6, I felt really lucky that I can have a really awesome class (GRi11) and the two most awesomest teachers Mr Robertson and Miss Gordon. They set up everything for us.Like our: spaces, google drive ,google classroom… I really like the style of GRi11! Really, I love it!

When you walk in GRi11 you will think that GRi11 is not working,they are mucking around. No you’re wrong! If you think of that. We are actually working really hard not mucking around. You hear us talking in here because we always work together and we talk to each other about how we solve problems. We all don’t agree that you guys changing GRi11. We don’t want TTS (Traditional  Teaching Style). We always finish our work on Friday at 3:00PM sharp. All the GRi11 members want to keep the GRi11 like now. Please keep GRi11 like now! Please do not change GRi11! We were born in this way! Please!!!
